Patriot British symbol: the v for victory first used by Winston Churchill in 1945
The V for Victory salute is a patriotic symbol first used by Winston Churchill after Britain won the war in 1945 but now it’s being deemed ‘Racist’ by authorities.
Lenny Hamilton, 45 from Hyde gave the V for Victory salute to a group of Romanian Vagrants who were sat outside the Natwest bank In Hyde. A Police community support Officer who witnessed the salute deemed it an ‘act of racism’ and radioed through for back up.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after and Mr. Hamilton was arrested under the racial hatred act in what is being described as ‘taunting people with a racist symbol because of the country they were born in’.
Hamilton was later released from Hyde police station with a reprimand and fine for £5000 to be paid directly to the Romanian vagrants that were saluted at.
The move comes after recently a local labour council in Berkshire decided to remove the Union Jack from a town Hall as they felt it was ‘racially insensitive’ to the ethnic minorities living in the town.
